NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Course for Glock semi-auto pistols

The NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting is intended for all individuals regardless of previous shooting experience or NRA-affiliation and is available for delivery in two ways. One option is the traditional, instructor-led course where you will receive direct instruction from an NRA-certified instructor from beginning to end. The other option has two components: a self-study or "E-learning module" which is completed online in your own timeframe and a hands-on practical portion conducted in a classroom and shooting range with an instructor. 

This is an 8 hour course.

The minimum qualification to earn a Basic Pistol Course Completion Certificate is four five-shot groups within a four-inch circle at 10 feet. 

This course meets the requirements for the Florida Non-Resident Concealed Weapon License

$100 (does not include ammo/range time)

This course is for training with the Glock semi-auto pistol ONLY.

This course is approximately 3 1/2 hours

The minimum qualification to earn a Basic Pistol Course Completion Certificate is four five-shot groups within a four-inch circle at 10 feet. 

This course meets the requirements for the Florida Non-Resident Concealed Weapon License

$75 (does not include ammo/range time)

Would you and your spouse like to take an NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting course together? Are you a small group interested in taking the course together? You can arrange to have us conduct the course at your home or business then travel to a local range for the proficiency test. You may use your own firearm or one of ours. 

For 2-6 students (does not include ammo or range time)

The NRA basics of Pistol Shooting course meets the requirements for the Florida Non-Resident Concealed Weapon License. A Florida resident/non-resident Concealed Weapon License is $102 ($42 for fingerprint processing fee and $100 for the initial license fee) and is valid for seven years. To be eligible for a Florida Concealed Weapons License:  

  • You must be 21 years of age or older.
  • You must be able to demonstrate competency with a firearm.
  • Unless you are serving overseas in the United States Armed Forces, you must currently reside in the United States (U.S.) AND be a U.S. citizen or deemed a lawful permanent resident alien by Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS). If you are serving overseas in the U.S. Armed Forces, submit a copy of your deployment documentation with your application. Those who are 'Resident Aliens' must provide a valid Permanent Resident Alien card.
